When did you start skating?
When I was 13 years old.

What got you into it?
My older friend took me to a skateshop and I ended up buying a board.

Where there any friends who started skating at the time?
My friend Takumi. He still skates. There were only two of us but when we went to Hachioji, we met 5 skaters our age nd started skating.

Are numbers of skaters increasing at your school?
Well....so-so.

How are spots in the western part of Tokyo?
Great. There are so many spots!

Where do you skate often?
I usually go to Faret building in Tachikawa and Hashimoto skate park.

What was your first skateboard?
Real team model.

Your first trick?
Tic-tac.

You`ve been skating for a while. What is so fun about skating?
Well, just riding is fun but when you learn a new trick it`s the best feeling.

Do you play other sports?
Now I don`t, but I used to play soccer, baseball, and tennis.

How is skating different from other sports?
It`s difficult to explain........well, you have freedom when skating. There is no coach telling you what to do. You can control your own move.

How do you express your style in skating?
I try to ride smoothly and effortless.

When did you join Uniful?

How did you get into the team?
Moriyasu Nishihira took me to Charlie distribution and I gave them my sponsor me video. Then they liked it and I got on the team.

What do you like about Uniful?
Everyone gets along really well.

What kind of skateboard shape do you like?
A lot of concave with steep nose. I also like small wheels size 50mm.

Which Uniful teammate do you often skate with?
Tetsuya and Moriyasu.

How often do you skate in a week?
4 or 5 times.

Who do you skate with in your hometown?
Shota.

When was the most memorable skating day?
It was when I ollied down 8 stairs for the first time. It was so big I didn`t think I could ollie it.  But when I stuck it, I was so stoked.

What was your worst injury?
When I sprained my ankle. I couldn`t skate for 3 weeks?

How did you spend that time?
I watched tons of skate videos.

Do you watch skate videos before you go skating?
Yep. I can imagine what I want to do. Also before any photo shoots or video filming, I watch videos to get me pumped.

Do you watch the tricks in slow motion?
All the time. Sick tricks for sure.

What`s your next trick or section you are eyeing on?
Well, I suck at mini-ramps. I will practice skating transitions more.

Which prefecture do you want to go skate?
Osaka.

How about abroad?
California.

What`s your future dream?
To be able to make a living off skateboarding. Also give skateboarding more exposure by being in TV commercials or giving skate lessons at schools and camps.

I heard you were on TV. What coomercial was it?
McDonald`s.(laughs) There was a small rail and I did a 5-0 on it, dressed as a girl. (laughs)

I`d probably be playing other sports.

What was the most memorable skate contest?
There was a GATE contest in Shinjuku and I was asked to be on Aura skateboards by Junichi Arahata. I was so happy.

Are contests important?
I think so. If you place high, it`ll look good on your resume.

I`ve heard you recently went to Nagano to film for JAG video. How was Nagano?
The temperature in Nagano was cooler than Tokyo so it was great. It was also fun to skate new spots. Check out JAG when it comes out.
