Ok, let`s start.
Ok.

When did you start skateboarding?
When I was 14. I was in 8th grade.

What got you into it?
I saw skateboarding on TV and started going to a small concrete skatepark near my house. And the rest is history.

Do you remember your first board?
My first board was those crappy boards you see in department stores.

What was the first trick you learned?
Well, I had that crappy board for a long time...since I was in first grade so not counting the tic-tacs....I`d have to say....ollie.

What is Chatty Chatty? A company? A team?
Well, we just got the third Chatty Chatty video out.The first one was just a compilation of our footgae filmed on cheap home cam for fun. My friends and I were filming and I got in touch with Zizow and Pong who were local rippers at the time.Apparently they were also filming and we put our footage together and put out a local video.

Where did the name Chatty Chatty come from?
It`s the name of the first song used in the first video. Pong thought it was a catchy name with a positive feeling.

So it`s a tight crew of friends from way back.
Yeah, we didn`t form as Shonan area crew at first. It was more like our tight friendship that brought us together naturally as a group.

So you are the original member. What`s the next project for Chatty Chatty?
Well, until now a distributor where Pong used to work helped us with the first two videos. But now that he quit, we started up our own entity called Stax Crew. Our video Chatty Chatty 3 was released through Stax Crew. We`ll be busy now.

So next is number 4.
Well, three just came out so I can`t really say what`s ahead of us but we would like to make T-shirts and stuff.

What is good about the local scene?
Shonan has its own good vibe that`s different from Tokyo. All the good skaters and the media are concentrated in Tokyo and you can meet many friends in a big city but Shonan has its own positive atmosphere that I can`t really explain.

Who do you usually skate with?
I usually skate with Zizow, Seisho, Pong, Junya, Souichiro and the crew in the video.

Who pushes you to skate hard?
Seisho, for sure.

How do you prepare before throwing down big tricks?
People often say they picture everything in their head but I try not to even think about it.If I think too much, it doesn`t work for me.

What`s fun about skateboarding?
Just riding. It`s hard to explain. I think it`s something only skaters can understand. Also meeting people through skating.

What`s the toughest part?
When I go shooting for pictures and video. But actually that`s fun, too.

What was your worst injury?
Last year, when I jumped a set of stairs, I injured my ligament. I was out for a month.

What`s your usual day like?
I usually wake up past noon, eat lunch, call up friends, and meet them up at Kugenuma, skate and eat dinner with my friends before I go home.

Have you been abroad?
Yep. San Francisco and LA.

And what did you think about skating over there?
I hung out with this camera man, Ken. He took me to many spots. I was impressed with the skaters and the spots.

What do you think you would be doing, if you weren`t skating?
Probably I`d be studying hard to get into a good college. Actually I used to enjoy studying.

How would you describe your style of skating?
Natural. Trying to look as natural as possible.

What`s the meaning of life?
Life? (laughs) What`s life? ....I can`t answer.

How do people describe your personality?
Laid back. People often say I am calm.

Do you practice for tricks?
I don`t have such mentality. Skating with my friends for fun is in a way a form of practice. If I skate to practice, I won`t have fun and won`t learn anything.

What does you family think of you skateboarding?
They don`t really say anything about it. I guess they think it`s ok....I don`t know.

Have you thought about quiting skateboarding?
Never.

What do you value the most?
Friends. Friendship.

Have you done any good deeds recently?
Hmmm...I can`t remember....I`m probably not a kind person.

Have you broken a law recently?
Got a parking ticket three days ago.

Why do girls dig you?
They don`t. (laughs)

Who`s hot?
Shonan skaters.

What do you like besides skating?
Listening to Raggae music.

What`s the difference between skating and other sports?
It`s hard to explain clearly. It`s something only skaters can understand but in skating you can`t really rank people and their style.

What`s your future goal?
Always give 100%, be at skating or whatever.

Places you would like to skate one day?
Spain and Skatepark of Tampa.

Who would you like to thank?
My family, friends, Shonan skaters, and especially Pong and Zizow. Without them I wouldn`t be where I am at now.

Anything you want to promote?
By September, the video Chatty Chatty 3 should be in stores. please check it out. Also come to Shonan any time.
