This park is one of the best places to practice and polish your skills. I mean, it has everything you need. A pyramid with a ledge next to it. Quarter pipes. Mini ramps. A spine. Rails. A box. A mannual pad. They come in all sizes so it`s great to learn new tricks. I would say the pyramid is the main attraction. You can pick different lines once you get used to the sections. The park has a nice setting for both street and transition lovers. -Jima
 Inagi kitaryokuchi koen
2996 Higashinaganuma Inag City Tokyo Hours: 9:00-21:00
This park is situated alongside Tama river. On sunny days, it`s very relaxing to skate but tough to skate on windy and cold days. The park is not very big but it`s just good enough to roll around and practice. The mini ramp is very mellow for beginners to learn transition skating.
 Jounanjima Skate Park
5 Toritsu Jounanjima Kaihin Kouen Nai, Jounanjima, Ootaku, Tokyo Tel 03-3799-6402 Helmet`s a must.
Jounanjima skatepark is located in the most southern part of Oota ward. The park was built after a local team OTSC (Oota Skate Crew) collected petitions from 1998,and voiced their need for a park at local festivals. Finally in April of 2005 the city built a skate park.

The park is located in a recreational park with a large camping ground,a beatiful beach, and a walking cource for the general public to enjoy. The local skaters spend most of their time there, a.k.a the Jounanjima 8 hour-cource.

The park is for all levels from beginners to advanced. There is a bank-to-bank section between a quarter pipe and a flat bank. In the open are, there are rails.Next year they are planning to add a mannual pad and a box. Also there is a 7 foot mini ramp. (You rarely find a nice size mini ramp in Tokyo.)

Come and check out this park. Get out from the hectic city life and escape to Jounanjima. You can spend all day just chilling.

Text by Shinichi Ito
 Musashino Koen
 3 Tamamachi, Fuchu City, Tokyo
The park is surrounded by trees which create perfect shades to chill especially during summer. There is a mini ramp, and many boxes. Make sure you don`t skate the marble benches outside the designated skate area. It`s part of the agreement for keeping the skate park open in Musashino park. Also Musashino park is well known for Cherry blossom. During this time, you can drink and skate. But please respect other visitors.

Also if you walk a little further inside the park, there is a tight bank 200 meters long. It`s about knee hight but I must say it`s an expert level.Have you ever seen a picture of Junnosuke throwing a huge backside ollie. Can anyone match that?

Overall, it`s a fun park if you don`t mind the rough ground. (well, it`s not as bad as you think.) -Jima
